Well, I've finally gone and leveled my second 75 job. Corsair has been fun (though vastly expensive) so far, and I think it'll be even better once my gear improves.
My current goals for cor are the denali set, and a martial gun. My Nyzul static finally made it to floor 100, so we're going to start farming boss floors now :) Here's hoping we can get everyone all the gear they want now.
If only someone would sell a dang martial gun on the AH, I could proceed to merit up a storm for blm. I suppose I can do without since I finally broke in my coffinmaker, but having slug miss so much is highly irritating.
Now that I have a good meripo job, I'm going to try to cap merits on blm and cor. After that, I suppose I'll start on my third 75 :P
Well, I guess I can never truly quit this game... at least, not for more than 5 months as long as the servers are running. WoW got tiring again after less than a month of raiding :( how lame.
My brother started playing his character (Resi) again on a daily basis and managed to convince my dad to start an account. Having both of them to play with (not to mention a new person to teach the ropes to) made the decision to come back pretty easy.
I'm going to see if I can take things slow getting back into the game. Last time I quit and restarted, I started doing alot of events and got a bit burnt out... This time around, I think I'm going to focus on one event at a time, while leveling other jobs / farming for gil in my off-time.
Going to be starting Nyzule Isle on monday with some LS friends :) That should be pretty sweets.
Just thought I'd post here to say that I've again taken a break from FFXI. Due to this I won't be posting on this blog any more. Playing FFXI was a fun experience, but I finally think its time for me to move on.
My thanks go out to all those that make FFXI a thriving game and community so many years after its release. May Altana smile upon you, and may your moggle never tire.
The last few weeks have been interesting. After my sky shell Retribution broke up, I wasn't sure if I wanted to do sky anymore... Liyah and Riprolaud managed to convince me to move over to their shell xCorex though, and for awhile things were ok. Of course, after a few more weeks of runs, I got burnt out on sky again >.> and started dodging farming. Slowly our numbers dwindled, and just a week ago a majority of the shell decided to break.
Sky is repedative enough without having 2 shells break on you : / So, I think im done with it until I get a few more jobs that can use the good sky stuff.
In other news, I've managed to level my COR to 60 now. Its going to stay there until I get my Shark gun (need 9k more Imperial standard points still >.>) and until I get my RNG from 31 to 37.
Oh yeah, I also need to farm up about 300k more gil to buy the last few dice >.> I don't know why Corsair has to be so expensive...
I've also leveled my beastmaster from 13 to 20 and re-discovered how much I like the job. So, maybe I'll put COR on the back burner for awhile. Leveling BST could help me make some much needed gil too...so, theres that argument :P
Yesterday I did two Jailer of love fights! They both were very smooth, our first dropped the Halberd and a Novia earring, our second is where things got interesting though. About halfway though the fight, JoL spawned a group of sharks and they proceeded to use 3 instant TP attacks on our BLM party: 1 shotting 5 of us... Thankfully our melees were able to hold off the pets while the blms got back up and unweak, but it was scary nonetheless @_@;
Our vigilance was rewarded with full JoL drops (Novio went to Dirtyfishydish ^_^ congrats!) and a guest appearance by Absolute Virtue! @_@.... I sent a chump-shot thundaga III his way and proceeded to get Wynav raped. xD
All in all, I've been enjoying FFXI at a slightly slower pace than usual.
